Why does a truck wheel need a different angle?

Race cars angle the wheel toward the driver. Trucks, buses and tractors do the opposite — the wheel sits nearly flat, almost horizontal, because the driver sits high and steers with their arms rather than their wrists. Running ETS2 or Farming Simulator on a race-angled wheel is the one thing that keeps the setup feeling like a game rather than a cab.

Will it hold a direct drive base?

The mounting plate uses pre-drilled bolt holes rather than relying on clamp pressure alone, which is what matters once a strong base starts pushing back.

My wheelbase is not on the list. Will it fit?

Probably, but contact us before ordering and we will confirm. The plate is designed around common bolt patterns and standard desk clamps, so most wheels on the market work. Send us your model and we will check it against the mounting template.

Does it work for buses and farming equipment too?

Yes. Anything with a flat, high-mounted wheel benefits — Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, Farming Simulator, bus and construction sims all use the same steering geometry.

Can I switch back to racing quickly?

Yes. Your wheelbase is held to the bracket by bolts or its own desk clamp, so going back to a normal racing angle just means undoing them and remounting the wheel as usual. Nothing on your desk or wheelbase is permanently changed, so you can switch between trucking and circuit racing as often as you like.
